Plaça Espanya
Mobile World Congress attendees entered the Fira Montjuïc venue through the gorgeous Plaça Espanya, arriving via Metro, city bus, walkways, taxis and shuttles. Attendees who scanned a barcode on their mobile device were able to “Fast Track” their way inside. It’s a stunning entrance point, one we will miss as we move to our new venue, Fira Gran Via.
The Avenue
We closed off a public street between the exhibition halls in order to accommodate our 67,000 attendees, exhibition stands and hospitality suites. With the two Venetian towers behind and the National Palace in Montjuïc ahead, the venue – and its sheer size – is a sight to behold. Attendees even caught up on the day’s news by watching Mobile World Live TV as they made their way.
Networking by Moonlight
Last year we held two evening events at the gorgeous Magic Fountain of Montjuïc, located in the Upper Village. Open to all attendees, guests were treated to the spectacular water display, an aerial performance, and great music spun by DJ Isis.
Exhibition Hall 8
Hall 8 was often the first stop attendees made after entering the venue. After navigating the massive crowds and visiting the exhibition stands, it’s sometimes difficult to remember that these are temporary stands constructed just for Mobile World Congress. You may forget that you’re not in a Mobile Mall!
