GSMA mWomen Seminar: Targeting the Women's Segment in Emerging Markets

The GSMA mWomen Seminar, sponsored by Qualcomm's Wireless Reachâ„¢ initiative and AusAID, showcased the commercial and social opportunity around targeting the women's segment in emerging markets. It launched the findings of the mWomen Mobile Operator Business Case Framework and the GSMA mWomen Research into Base of the Pyramid Women's Wants & Needs, both of which were made possible by the generous support of USAID and AusAID. Aiming to highlight both the challenges and immediate opportunities for the mobile industry to provide commercially successful, relevant offerings to underserved women, the findings followed by a high-profile panel of C-Suite executives discussed real-world examples of creating and launching mWomen products and services in market.
