Fira Montjuïc Travel Options

New for 2014! Fira Gran Via/Fira Montjuïc Shuttle

FREE Fira Gran Via/Fira Montjuïc Shuttle

  • New for 2014! We will operate a continuous free shuttle between the two Mobile World Congress venues: Fira Gran Via and Fira Montjuïc.
  • Fira Gran Via/ Fira Montjuic Shuttle will be operational:
    • Monday 24 to Wednesday 26 February
      • 1 bus every 6 minutes from 07:00 – 10:00
      • 1 bus every 15 minutes from 10:00 – 18:00
      • 1 bus every 6 minutes from 18:00 – 21:00
    • Thursday 27 February  
      • 1 bus every 6 minutes from 07:00 – 10:00
      • 1 bus every 15 minutes from 10:00 – 16:00
  • The estimated journey time from one venue to the other is 20 minutes approx. during peak hours.

In-Town Transport to Fira Montjuïc

 

By Metro

Free Transport Passes:

  • All mPowered Industries attendees using public transportation will receive a free transportation pass valid for the four event days (Monday-Thursday). Transportation passes will be distributed when picking up event badges at all registration locations during the weekend prior to the Event, as well as at the transport pass desk in the South Entrance in Gran Via venue, from Monday to Thursday.
  • The transport pass is valid for unlimited combined journeys using any means of transport within Zone 1 (includes Barcelona city and Fira Gran Via), using Metro, Bus and Train systems.
  • One Free Public Transport Pass per mPowered Industries attendee. In the event of loss or damage, replacements will not be provided.
  • The Barcelona Metro connects directly to Fira Montjuïc. Riders should take the Metro to Plaça Espanya (Red Line, L1) or (Green Line, L3).

By Taxi

  • Taxis are reasonably priced and easy to find both near the venue and around town. Please click here for information about taxi fares.

FGC Train

FGC trains are particularly useful for linking inland towns to Fira Montjuïc. The following lines will lead you to the venue:

  • – Espanya/Martorell-enllaç
  • – Plaça Espanya/Olesa
  • – Plaça Espanya/Manresa
  • – Plaça Espanya/Can Ros
  • – Plaça Espanya/Igualada

The terminal station of each line is the stop “Plaça Espanya”. For further information please consult the FGC website.

Airport Transportation

 

By Aerobus

  • The Aerobus departs from both Terminals, and ends at Plaça Espanya:
    • At Terminal 1, stops are located outside the T1 Arrivals area (P0) and the Departures area (P3). Take Bus Route A1
    • At Terminal 2, the stop is located in front of the Joan Miró mural
  • Bus frequency: every 5 to 15 minutes from 06:00 to 01:00.
  • Approximate journey time: 20 minutes to Plaça Espanya.
  • Cost: 5,90 € for a single trip. Tickets are available from ticket machines or may be purchased from the driver.

By Taxi

  • Taxi stands are located in front of both T1 and T2 terminals.
  • Information about fares and additional charges are available to view on the window of the taxi. Please click here for taxi fare information.
  • Taxi fares include a service charge, so tipping is not expected.
  • Not all taxis accept credit card payments; verify whether credit cards are accepted before leaving the airport.

By Car

  • The best option is to take C-31, Gran Via, Plaça Espanya.
  • Approximate journey time: 15 minutes.

By Train

  • The train links the airport with the city centre, stopping at Barcelona Sants Railway Station. Approximate journey time: 19 minutes.
  • The airport station is situated opposite T2, and is connected to this terminal via an air bridge. There is also a free shuttle bus service between the RENFE station and T1.
  • Frequency of the service: every 25 minutes.

By Bus

  • During the DAY: Public Bus #46 departs from the airport approximately every 15 minutes from Terminal T1.
  • At NIGHT: Between the hours of 21:50 to 04:40, take “NitBus N17″. This bus departs every 20 minutes from Terminal T1.
  • Cost: 2,00 € for a single single trip.
  • Both listed bus lines have a stop approximately 50 metres from Fira Gran Via.
  • The total journey between the airport and city centre takes about 50 minutes, as the bus makes multiple stops during the journey, including a stop in Plaça Espanya.

Fira Gran Via/Fira Montjuïc Shuttle

  • We will operate a continuous shuttle between the two Mobile World Congress venues: Fira Gran Via and Fira Montjuïc. The shuttle will operate during the following hours:
    • 08:00 to 22:00 – Monday to Wednesday
    • 08:00 to 20:00 – Thursday
  • The Shuttle Bus stop at Fira Gran Via is located at the North Entrance. The Shuttle Bus stop at Fira Montjuïc is located in Plaça Espanya.

MWC City Centre Connect

  • New for 2014! A free, direct bus for MWC attendees, running between Plaça Europa (near the Fira Gran Via South Entrance) and the Barcelona City Centre.
  • These buses have access to speed lanes reserved for city transport, allowing them to pass by stopped traffic
  • MWC City Centre Connect will operate during the following hours:
    • 08:00 to 22:00 – Monday to Wednesday
    • 08:00 to 20:00 – Thursday

By H12 Bus

  • Barcelona has added a new bus line called the H12 bus. This line runs along Gran Via de les Corts Catalans of Barcelona. This line crosses the city from the Forum area to Fira Gran Via, passing through Passeig de Gràcia and Plaça Espanya.
  • The bus stop nearest Fira Gran Via is located in Plaça Europa, a one-minute walk to the South Entrance.

FGC Train

  • Board at the FGC at Plaça Espanya, note that all routes which depart the Plaça Espanya FGC station stop at the Europa/Fira station. The approximate journey time is seven minutes.
