Can I pay by bank/wire transfer?
Yes. In order to pay by bank / wire transfer you will need to select this option during Step 6, “Payment / Terms & Conditions” of your registration.
Please allow enough time for your bank/wire transfer payment to be completed, as processing can take up to 10 working days. If the transfer has not cleared prior to your arrival onsite you will be expected to supply an alternate form of payment. Badges will not be distributed without full pre-payment of registration fees.
Please note: Approximately 10 days prior to the event, the option to pay by bank/wire transfer will be removed in order to allow time for payments to be received.
What is the Cancellation or Substitution Policy?
ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Cancellations, as well as 'no shows', will be liable for the full registration fee. NO REFUNDS SHALL BE GIVEN. Paid attendees can send a substitution if they are no longer able to attend. See below for more details on substitutions.

Will I receive a registration confirmation?
You will receive an automatic email confirmation once you have completed your registration and payment in full. For all registrations after 1 December, this registration confirmation should be considered your Final Confirmation and brought with you onsite to you collect your badge. Those who register prior to 1 December will receive a Final Confirmation with badge collection instructions prior to the event. Only fully paid registrations will be sent a confirmation email.
Please note access to events within Mobile World Congress, e.g. App Developer Conferences will be confirmed directly by the event organiser.The confirmation received from the GSMA includes confirmation of your Mobile World Congress registration. Can I attend Congress Lunch?
Platinum and Gold Pass holders receive Congress Lunch as part of their pass. Please check your confirmation email on what you have access to as part of your pass type. Silver Pass holders and Exhibition Visitor Pass holders can purchase Congress Lunch onsite.
What is Mobile World Live and how can I join?
Mobile World Live is the online communications hub for the global mobile industry. Through this growing community you can connect with mobile enthusiasts and professionals worldwide. Mobile World Live's video content includes past MWC keynote and conference excerpts, as well as exclusive interviews with some of the top mobile executives in the world. If you want to join Mobile World Live, you may do so while completing your registration or anytime by visiting www.mobileworldlive.com.
How do I obtain the flight discounts available for attendees?
The Star Alliance Airlines network is again the Official Airline Network for the GSMA Mobile World Congress 2012, offering 20% discount on international flights and 30% on domestic Spanair flights. You do not need to submit documentation verifying your participation in MWC in order to get the discounts. Simply click here for more information.
How can I claim Taxback?
The GSMA does not promote an tax compliance and recovery service for Mobile World Congress. This is due to differing standards of service and delivery available to different attendees and exhibitors in different countries. Our suggestion is that you undertake a search in your country for a reputable service provider and/or engage with your accounts or auditors for a recommendation specific to your organisation and country.
To help you successfully complete the registration process for Mobile World Congress 2012, we've answered some questions you may have while completing your registration. Click a question to see its answer.
Do I need an invitation to attend?
No, an invitation is not required. Some attendees are invited to attend by our partners or exhibitors but most guests do not receive an invitation. If you don't have an invitation, just skip over the step to input a "Registration Code" when registering.
If you have received an invitation to attend, the Registration Code to submit when completing your registration will be in the invitation e-mail.
I received more than one invitation to attend, what should I do?
You only need to register once to attend Mobile World Congress. If you have already registered and later receive an invitation for a pass of greater value or one which provides you with access to more than your current pass, log into your account and select “Upgrade Registration”, enter your Registration Code and continue through the registration process.
How do I complete my bank/wire transfer?
In order to pay by bank / wire transfer you will need to select this option during Step 7, “Payment / Terms & Conditions” of the registration process. If you require a VAT invoice, this option is available during Step 5 of the registration process.
Be sure to allow enough time for your bank/wire transfer payment to be received, as processing can take up to 10 working days.
Badges will not be given out without full pre-payment of registration fees.

How do I make a substitution? (Replace my registration with another person.)
Substitutions between attendees from the same company and at the same invoice address may be made by providing the GSMA with written notice of the name of the original attendee and full details of the substitute attendee. To arrange a substitution, please e-mail full details of the original and new attendee to registration@mobileworldcongress.com. Please quote “Pass Substitution MWC12” in the subject line of the e-mail.
Once a badge has been issued onsite, substitutions are not allowed.
I don't have an e-mail account to register.
Those wishing to attend Mobile World Congress 2012 must register online to attend the event, and you will require an e-mail account to register. There are several free e-mail providers available and setting up an e-mail account is quick and easy to do.
Once you have successfully registered, key updates and information on where to collect your badge will be e-mailed to you prior to the event.
How do I upgrade my pass?
Upgrading your pass is easy: simply log in to your existing registration account and choose "modify". Select your upgraded pass and proceed to checkout. For more information on passes and upgrading from an EVP click here.
Can I upgrade my pass onsite?
Yes, if you would like to upgrade your pass onsite please visit us at the Conference Pass Upgrade desk located on Level 2 in Hall 5.

Do I require a visa to enter Barcelona?

GSMA can provide you with a visa supporting letter which you can request through the registration process. If you do not require a visa, please do not select the visa invitation option during your registration, as the GSMA will not issue supporting information for nationalities that do not require a visa.
How do I obtain a visa invitation letter?
Attendees requiring a visa supporting letter for proof of their registration to attend Mobile World Congress need to submit their passport information during the registration process.
When your registration is complete and full registration payment has been received, a PDF letter be sent to your preferred email address within three (3) working days.

We are unable to provide assistance with visa applications beyond supplying the invitation letter. Visa issuance is beyond GSMA’s control.

The GSMA will only issue visa letters to attendees who are paid in full.

Attendees are solely responsible for verifying the requirements for a visa application, allowing sufficient time to obtain the necessary documentation, and submitting documentation to the institution through which the application is being processed.
How do I register?
Exhibitors and Sponsors will be contacted by e-mail with information on how to complete their registration. To invite guests or register your own staff, you need to access the GSMA Exhibitor & Partner Invitation System. Registration Coordinators will be receive their login information by email, look out for an email with "Exhibitor & Partner Invitation System Login for GSMA Mobile World Congress 2012" in the subject line. Please ensure you have the correct Registration Coordinator in your Exhibitor Manual account.
How do I invite or register my staff and guests?
To invite guests or register your own staff, you need to access the GSMA Exhibitor & Partner Invitation System. The GSMA Exhibitor & Partner Invitation System will go live in November and Registration Coordinators will receive their login details by email.
Exhibitors and Sponsors must ensure the correct contact information is in the Exhibitor Manual (Additional Contacts).
I am working on a stand, do I need to register?
Yes. Please contact the Registration Coordinator of the Exhibitor or Partner for whom you are working. They will provide you with a Registration Code and instructions on how to register. If you have been provided with a code to register, refer to the "Registration Assistance" section above for more information.
How do I register as Press/Media?
Members of the media who wish to attend Mobile World Congress 2012 should click here for media accreditation information and further details of applying to attend.
Press / Media must apply for accreditation using the Press Accreditation system where you will be required to complete your personal data, contact preferences and upload supporting criteria. After submitting your accreditation, your application will be reviewed by the GSMA Press team. If the application is successful, you will be sent a registration confirmation via email, and no further action is required.
I applied for press accreditation and have not heard if I've been approved.
We have more than 3,000 press applying to be accredited for Mobile World Congress each year, and as such, review and approval of these applications can take some time to review. We attempt to respond to accreditation applications within 5 – 10 working days of receiving your application. Once your accreditation application has been reviewed, you will receive a further e-mail.
To check the status of your application, log into your account and you can find your status on the Home page. Click here to log in now.
I am a GSMA Member. How do I register?
GSMA Members are eligible to receive a 30% discount on any pass purchase. To obtain the discount, you must have your Member Discount Code before you begin your registration Which includes your Organisation ID.
To obtain your Organisation ID:

Log into Infocentre.

Go to the Organisation Search page

Type in the name of the organisation you want to search and click ‘Submit’

Click on the Organisation Name in the list of results to open the Organisation Details page

The Oganisation ID can be found in the top left hand corner, above the Organisation Name
The discount code to enter is your Organisation ID, prefixed with "MWC" (For example, if your Organisation ID is 98765, enter "MWC98765" into the Discount Code box during the "Pass Type Selection" step.). Member Discount codes must be eight (8) digits. If your Organisation ID is less than 5 digits, please add 0s prior to your ID (For example, if you Organisation ID is 65, enter "MWC00065" or where the Organisation ID is 999, enter "MWC00999".

I am speaking at the conference. How do I register?
Speaker registration opens in November.
Conference and keynote speakers will be contacted directly by the speaker management team with instructions on how register, includinga unique Registration Code. Contact the team directly at speakers@mobileworldcongress.com.
If you are speaking at an event or programme other than the official conference programme, please contact the organiser for that event for instructions on how to register.
What is the attendance criteria?
Participation in the GSMA Ministerial Programme is by invitation only, and is restricted to individuals representing the following:

Ministries of Communication (or equivalent)

Telecommunication Regulatory Authorities

Inter-governmental organisations (including ITU, OECD, CTO, World Bank, and regional regulatory authority groups)
