Barcelona is a safe city. (Further information about the city of Barcelona is available at
www.barcelonaturisme.com.). Nevertheless, you should take the common sense precautions you would take when visiting any major city:
- Always remove your congress pass when leaving the event venue.
- Watch out for distractions. Keep an eye on your personal belongings at all times, never leave them unattended.
- Be vigilant in crowds, restaurants and on public transportation.
Other recommendations:
- Do not carry or display large amounts of cash; only as much as you need.
- Put the "do not disturb" sign on the hotel door if you have to leave valuable items in the room and there is no safety deposit box.
- When travelling around the city, check how to get to your destination in advance, so that you appear confident in how you are walking and where you are going.
- You will always need a valid from of photo ID to access the event, but we advise where possible to leave at least one other form of photo ID (i.e. driving license)a credit card, and valuable items in the safety deposit box at your hotel. That way, you will always have access to money and ID.
Have Identification
IMPORTANT: PHOTO ID-CHECKS WILL BE PERFORMED DURING THE EVENT OPEN DAYS EACH TIME ENTERING THE VENUE. MAKE SURE YOU CARRY VALID PHOTO ID WITH YOU AT ALL TIMES. THE PHOTO-ID DOCUMENT MUST SHOW YOUR NAME IN LATIN ALPHABET (NO CHINESE, JAPANESE, KOREAN or ARABIC CHARACTERS) AND MATCH THE NAME ON YOUR BADGE.

If you are involved in any incident, please report it to:
- Police station inside the Fira Montjuïc venue which will be located at the upper right-hand corner of the main avenue where the outdoor escalators are, next to Hall 8.
- Call the +34 900 77 2010, free 24-hour Security Service telephone number for assistance and information during the event days. This service covers the entire city of Barcelona (not just the event venue). The number appears on the back of your pass.
It helps the city to fight petty crime if you report incidents.
For your convenience we have teams on motorcycles available to travel to wherever you are and offer personal assistance with completing any paperwork needed to report an incident, replacing your documentation and canceling your credit cards.
The organisers strongly recommend all exhibitors plan their presence at the exhibition with adequate security measures. All exhibitors are encouraged to use security staff both during the day and throughout the night.
Thank you for your cooperation.
