Security Personnel Registration Queries

Do security personnel need to notify MWC organisers of their attendance?

As part of ongoing security planning for Mobile World Congress, the GSMA now requires that all private security personnel attending the show be registered in this capacity. This applies to private security assigned to protect:

  • Senior executives of companies exhibiting at or sponsoring Mobile World Congress;
  • Prominent speakers in the Mobile World Congress conference; and
  • Celebrities or other high-profile attendees.

This increased visibility of private security operations will enable us to better coordinate overall security efforts, working in conjunction with Mobile World Congress security staff and Mossos d´Esquadra (Catalan police).

Please note that private security will not be identified as such on their Mobile World Congress badges; they will still receive a standard attendee or exhibitor badge.

Once you complete the standard registration process, contact us at and provide the following details: Registration ID, First Name, Last Name and Company Name. Please also provide: First Name, Last Name and Company for the person or people you will be accompanying.
