Digital transformation in retail has changed the very nature of this industry. It is no longer just about transactions, but about conversations with consumers.
The transition to a connected retailer, saw an explosion in the number of conversations with and channels to customers; a noisy mix of marketing emails, SMS, live chatbots, social media accounts and many more.
Today, the consumer just needs simplicity and efficiency and to cut through that noise and use one touch point with a brand for the range of requirements they may have. This is the new challenge ahead of retailers, this is where we need to rethink digital transformation for consumers.
